‘It will either fall flat on it’s face or will be the best exhibition we have ever put on’ said a friend at the V&A. So far, judging by press reviews, it’s looking like the latter. It starts with an email from a complete stranger, and ends with seeing an image of something you have made in your evening newspaper.

Having worked our way through a fair amount of gold, we have long hoped to find a source for it which we know to be responsibly mined and ethically traded. Over the years we have made contact with mining companies, and even made things for them, but the process of buying gold from source has always been difficult if not downright dangerous.
